Public Transport

Today as I look around myself, I see huge moving containers ploughing along the road, amongst the speedy little rats, the cars. Now, I did some research and found that nearly _____% of Singaporeans take public transport every day. From here, we can analyse and infer that a significant percentage of Singaporeans take public transport every day. Thus, it is an important pillar in Singapore, and we need to work hard to ensure that not only does it not collapse, it also sustains its continued growth upward. Thus, the public transport system has huge impacts on Singapore, and the government has to set up measures and polices to maintain it.
Firstly, has the government made it accessible enough? We have to make public transport accessible and convenient, so that even the disabled, pregnant and the elderly are able to take public transport with ease. Public transport is everywhere. We have taxis, buses and trains. There currently a total of 7 trains service lines, with 4 under the Mass Rapid Transport System. The other three fall under the Light Rail Transport System. These Mass Rapid Transport lines stretch all the way from north to south, and east to west. These train service lines have helped Singaporeans immensely in getting from one end of Singapore to another end, as well as just everyday transportation. Of course, the distance between each MRT station is ____km, which is massive for Singaporeans. So, we have buses! Buses are plenty in Singapore, with over _____ services in Singapore. These buses go around every corner in Singapore, even in the most deserted of places. Many of these buses are linked to interchanges, where people can change to either another bus that takes them to their destination, or the MRT trains, since most interchanges are linked to MRT stations.
Now, in order to make public transport easily accessible to the disabled, the bus companies are now introducing more Wheel-Chair Accessible Buses to Singapore,  mainly because the government has made it compulsory for transport operators to buy wheelchair-accessible buses. It is estimated that by 2030, the bus fleet will be fully wheelchair-accessible.
If you thought that the number of transport routes was enough, then you are probably wrong. There are new MRT lines, like the DownTown Line, under construction. Even more MRT lines and bus services are under consideration by the Singapore Land Transport Authority. With more and more transport routes being created, we can take ease!
